‘Magic Hour’ is an introduction to the craft of lighting for the theatre, in India. It is almost completely hands-on. Participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes, preferably rubber-soled. We’ll look at some paintings, argue about the lighting designer’s job, examine approaches and systems, lamps and hardware and have a shot at designing and executing light plans.
