 Thespo is offering a 12 month fellowship for under-25 years arts managers to lead and build on the movement
Thespo has built over the last two decades. 
This fellowship follows a training on the job model along with empowering the team to manage, inspire and work with crew and participants.
 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

  • Ideate and curate Thespo activities based on every vertical of Thespo.
  • Managing Resources: People, Finances, Administrative, Technological.
  • Artist, and facilitator liasoning
  • Producing collaborative performances
  • Logistic Management for all the Thespo events, including the annual festival
  • Communication: to the external stakeholders about all Thespo activities
  • Forging connections with colleges and universities, arts organisations within India and outside India.
  • Fundraising: To work towards bringing patrons to contribute and engage with Thespo, enabling Thespo to sustain and continue doing its activities.
  • Budget and Accounting
  • Marketing and Publicity
  • Administrative responsibilities: Maintaining excels, inventory, coordination and management.
  • Build sustainability and develop ideas that contribute to the growth of Thespo


  • Passionate about the arts, especially theatre
  • Has an inclination towards the managerial work of creating theatre
  • Hardworking, diligent and open to new ideas and systems
  • Willing to move to Bombay (if the year gradually moves to an on-ground year)
  • Open to training and learning processes of the organisation
  • Ability to meet deadlines, and problem solve during event productions. 
  • Moderately comfortable with Microsoft Office: Word, Powerpoint and Excel, specifically.
  • A team player


  • Duration: 12 months
  • You will receive a stipend for the fellowship.
  • This can be full-time, based on the time commitment the individual can offer.
  • Full time role: Mon-Sat; Office hours: 10:30am – 6:30pm. 
  • There might be certain weekends that are working, and certain days the work hours exceed the regular office hours.
  • Towards the end of the fellowship period, you are required to submit a report about the experience and details of your experience.
