ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Theatre is often a very polite thing. Gigs are a bit more exciting. We will spend a few hours looking at how to wind a story into a gig format. We’ll look at combining spoken word with some music and get a practical idea of what telling a story in a gig based setting could be like.


ABOUT FACILITATOR: Alexander Wright is a writer and storyteller from the UK. He’s half of the internationally award winning Wright&Grainger. They tell stories wound from spoken word and live music, packing tracks full of narratives. They have performed around the world in cafes, bars, halls, gardens, boats, tents, festivals, railway arches, pubs, studios and theatres..
